Billy Idol says don’t idle ‘ Property tax lawsuit tossed ‘ New York stockpiles supplies for coronavirus

We have sometimes observed that Mayor Bill de Blasio is slow to harness his administration’s policies into public events where he can tout the city’s gains, and he’s even been accused of not having much fun with the job.

De Blasio pronounced idling ‘just stupid’ and said he scolds the police officers who drive him around to stop doing it all the time. Then, the inevitable question: If he’s so concerned about vehicle exhaust, will he give up the daily 11 mile drive to the gym? Nah. De Blasio said it’s ‘just reality’ and ‘what works for me.’ Besides, he’ll have plenty of time to lead by example…after he leaves office. ‘I can tell you with assurance in 22 months I will not own a car and I will never own a car again,’ he said.

‘What Part of Illegal Don’t You Understand?’

The Trump administration has barred those seeking refuge from our borders and turned our immigration courts into a joke. This is a betrayal of America’s decades-long role as a world leader in refugee protection. It also breaks our own laws and treaty commitments, which say we will take people in, give them a fair court hearing and not return them to harm.

Pancake race, a ballooning problem, Lincoln’s hearse: News from around our 50 states

Little Rock: A judge blocked the state Tuesday from issuing more licenses to sell medical marijuana after a state panel rejected a Pine Bluff dispensary’s license application. Pulaski County Circuit Judge Wendell Griffen granted a temporary restraining order as requested by Medicanna of Pine Bluff, which had sued the state’s Medical Marijuana Commission after another dispensary was awarded a license to sell medical marijuana. Griffen scheduled a March 3 hearing on whether to grant a preliminary injunction against the state. Medicanna is challenging the commission’s decision to award the license to a lower-scoring applicant because Medicanna had received a partial refund of its application fee. Arkansas voters in 2016 approved a constitutional amendment in 2016 legalizing medical marijuana, and the first dispensaries in the state opened last year.
