CMU starting QB David Moore suspended by NCAA over banned substance; school says it’s appealing

But, again, trouble has struck Mount Pleasant, with the university announcing Tuesday that starting quarterback David Moore has been suspended by the NCAA for testing positive for a banned substance.

Moore, a junior from Alpharetta, Ga., is in his first year playing for the Chippewas, after spending his earlier collegiate career at Memphis. Through six games, he’s 94-for-164 for 1,143 yards, with five touchdowns and four interceptions.
