Crews respond to suspicious fire at Durham parole office

Durham, N.C. ‘ A fire that started Tuesday morning at a probation and parole office in Durham is considered suspicious, officials said. At 4:45 a.m.

At 4:45 a.m., firefighters with the Durham Fire Department responded to a fire at the office located at 119 Orange Street. Crews quickly extinguished the fire, which started on the first floor of the three-story building.

According to officials, the building suffered fire, smoke and water damage throughout the first floor. There was no damage to the second or third floors.
