Opinion: Polls show increasing support for impeachment inquiry. Videos for Impeachment Inquiry Latest : White House 4:55 Trump impeachment inquiry : "The whistleblower is a CIA officer who worked at the White House " YouTube Trump builds a stonewall

I would love to send Ambassador Sondland, a really good man and great American, to testify, but unfortunately he would be testifying before a totally compromised kangaroo court, where Republican’s rights have been taken away, and true facts are not allowed out for the public…

Sondland’s role seems pivotal to the events in Ukraine. In one message, Sondland wrote that Trump ‘really wants the deliverable,’ an apparent reference to the president’s demand that Ukraine open an investigation into the family of political rival Joe Biden.

Whether that demand came in tandem with a freeze on military aid to Ukraine and a request for a White House meeting by Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky is a focus of the investigation, but the quid pro quo seems clear despite Sondland’s message that Trump ‘has been crystal clear, no quid pro quos of any kind.’ Sondland followed that up ‘ in a message that reads like he suddenly realized he was leaving an electronic trail for investigators ‘ with ‘I suggest we stop the back and forth by text.’

White House Confirms it Won’t Cooperate with Impeachment Inquiry

WASHINGTON (AP) ‘ The White House declared Tuesday it will halt any and all cooperation with what it termed the “illegitimate” impeachment probe by House Democrats, sharpening the constitutional clash between President Donald Trump and Congress.

Trump attorneys sent a lengthy letter to House leaders bluntly stating White House refusal to participate in the inquiry that was given a boost by last week’s release of a whistleblower’s complaint that the president sought political favors from Ukraine.

“Given that your inquiry lacks any legitimate constitutional foundation, any pretense of fairness, or even the most elementary due process protections, the Executive Branch cannot be expected to participate in it,” White House Counsel Pat Cipollone wrote.
