Jordan Bligh, now 23, pleaded guilty in Gladstone District Court to two counts of enter premises and with intent commit indictable offence, one count of break and enter premises and commit an indictable offence and stealing.

Defence barrister Maree Willey said Bligh had received a sentence from Gladstone Magistrates Court in January and this sentence being imposed was ‘somewhat of a wake-up call’ for her client.

ROWLEY ‘ An Ipswich’woman’charged with’stealing jewelry from a local family while’babysitting their child was ordered Tuesday by a judge to pay $30,000 in restitution and’not work in private homes for the 30 months she is on probation.’

Jacqueline Gillespie, 20, of 16 Elm St. pleaded to sufficient facts, which means she agreed a judge or jury could find her guilty if the case went to trial.

If Gillespie’doesn’t pay back the family within 30 months, she could be sentenced to two and a half years in jail. In April, Gillespie was charged with two’counts of larceny over $250.’
