The Chase contestant wins record-breaking ‘70000 on her own

A CONTESTANT on The Chase has come away with the largest amount ever won on the show by a single player.

Judith scooped ‘70,000 after facing Chaser Jenny ‘The Vixen’ Ryan singlehandedly in the final round after all her team mates were knocked out.

After winning a massive 20 steps Judith quizzed her way to victory, repeatedly pushing Jenny back, showing incredible knowledge on subjects from Hungarian currency and Czech car manufacturers to poetry and parliamentary upholstery.

The Chaser then gave Judith a standing ovation, it is reported, and told her “I’ve never done this before”.

Host Bradley Walsh said: “Extraordinary, ‘70,000. Highest figure ever won by a solo player, sensational.”

Taking to Twitter during the episode, Jenny Ryan wrote: “I’ve been awaiting the broadcast of this episode… Judith is such a memorable contestant! #TheChase.”

One woman said: “One of the best final chases I have ever seen on #TheChase might have to watch it again on +1 in a minute.”

He then left where he was standing to hug Judith, adding: “I’ve never seen anything like it,” reports the Mirror

She also revealed that Judith almost didn’t make it onto the programme and only found out that she was on the show 24 hours before she was set to appear.

“ALL HAIL JUDITH! If I remember correctly, Judith was a standby contestant, and only found out she was on the show 24 hours before recording,” Jenny said. “I was well and truly beaten.”

Bradley Wash was left stunned as contestant Judith ended up managing to bring ‘70,000 back for the final round.

Judith managed to get 20 questions right own the final round, which is a huge score anyway, and it proved to be too good for Jenny to catch.

Fans were blown away by Judith’s incredible performance, and they took to Twitter to comment on her big win.

Another added: ‘Fair play Jenny. I absolutely loved some of your facial expressions as she kept pulling out answers, left, right and centre.’
