WWE Raw results, live blog (May 24, 2021): Women’s tag title match

WWE Monday Night Raw comes waltzing back into our lives tonight (May 24, 2021) from the ThunderDome at Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida, featuring all the latest build to the upcoming Hell in a Cell pay-per-view (PPV) scheduled for next month in the very same venue.

The only thing advertised for tonight as of post time: Natalya & Tamina take on Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler in a rematch for the women’s tag team titles. This was set up after Baszler beat Nattie on SmackDown. Also set for the show is Xavier Woods vs. Riddle to keep the New Day vs. RK-Bro program going.

Come right back here at 8 p.m. ET when the Raw live blog will kick off once the show starts on USA. It will be below this line here. (REMINDER: NO GIFS OR PICS ARE ALLOWED IN THE COMMENTS SECTION. OFFENDERS WILL BE BANNED.)

2021 WWE WrestleMania Backlash results, recap, grades: Match of the Year contender closes strong show

WWE held WrestleMania Backlash on Sunday night, a show that suggested continued fallout from April’s massive two-night WrestleMania extravaganza. Rather than anything related to WrestleMania, it was the main event clash between Roman Reigns and Cesaro that stole the show, with both men putting in an incredible effort to create an instant Match of the Year contender.

All told, only one title changed hands in the five championship bouts that made up the majority of the night’s action, but the company’s top champions are now solidified as the promotion moves forward to Hell in a Cell, which was announced as being June’s pay-per-view event.

5 things WWE RAW after WrestleMania Backlash got right

WWE RAW kicked off just one night after WrestleMania Backlash hosted some major matches. Bobby Lashley retained his WWE Championship against Braun Strowman and Drew McIntyre at the pay-per-view. The All Mighty appeared early in the night for a big segment.

Rhea Ripley retained her RAW Women’s Championship at WrestleMania Backlash and was looking for new challenges. Sheamus, on the other hand, was looking to get his coat and hat back from Ricochet on RAW.

Damian Priest competed in yet another match against John Morrison. RAW needs to find new opponents for Priest and move him out of his rivalry against The Miz and Morrison.
