Sonya Deville’s In-Ring Return Revealed, Money In The Bank Plans
According to a report from Fightful, WWE Superstar Sonya Deville is expected to return to in-ring action very soon. The plan for her to return is ‘imminent’ as long as everything works out as planned. She will likely get involved (in some capacity) with the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match. Deville had originally been penciled in to compete in the match at one point, but those plans were scrapped.

Backstage Update On Sonya Deville’s WWE In
Currently serving as an on-screen authority figure, there’s now an update on the in-ring return of Sonya Deville.
As per Fightful Select, Deville is expected to return to action shortly – and that could be as soon as this Sunday’s Money in the Bank PPV.
Reports surfaced last month to say Sonya was training for her return to the ring, and this Fightful report claims how there has been a significant push to have the Jersey Devil play a part in the women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match this weekend.
Deville was at one point pencilled in to actually compete in the women’s MITB contest, although it remains to be seen whether or not the New Jersey native will end up taking the final slot in that match. As it stands, that bout will feature Alexa Bliss, Asuka, Liv Morgan, Naomi, Natalya, Nikki Cross ASH, Zelina Vega and one to-be-revealed SmackDown talent.

Sonya Deville ‘Penciled In’ For WWE Money In The Bank Match
Ringside News exclusively reported that WWE wanted to bring Sonya Deville back to the ring around WrestleMania season, but those plans kept getting pushed back. Now it looks like the wait might be over.
This is very interesting timing with the return of live fans. It was not exactly when Sonya Deville will get back to action, but Money in the Bank is an event where anything can happen.
Deville is very happy with her role as an on-screen WWE Official. She has also been training hard for a return to the ring and has always kept in shape. Perhaps with live fans returning that will cause Deville to put her hair up and square up once again.
Update On Sonya Deville Returning To WWE In
Sonya Deville hasn’t been in action since wresting at last year’s SummerSlam 2020 pay-per-view where she lost perhaps the most high-profile match of her career. She was involved in a long-term feud with bestie Mandy Rose that led to a Loser Leaves WWE match.
Mandy won that match to send her adversary out of the WWE context, for some time. It was supposed to be a hair vs. hair match, but then circumstances called for a change as the two featured in a traditional bout.

Sonya Deville then took some time off to deal with a terrible stalker situation that took place at her house in Florida. While many thought that it may keep her out of WWE TV for a longer time, she was back in no time. Fans and WWE Superstars were surprised as WWE brought her back to television in a new role of a WWE official. She’s been helping out Adam Pearce in putting matches but she has not been wrestling at all.
